More Of An Idiot Wreck.

Since it's involving swords and FUCKING IDIOTS, I find it worthy of a dishonorable mention.

Thank you once again for giving hobbyists and legitimate martial artists a bad name. :/

What The Hell Is A "Doragon"?????

United Black's "Yoru Doragon Tanto"

Why the hell would you screw what seems to be at least a functional piece with that Pure Cheese tribal PLEATHER scabbard??

I suspect with some horror that "Doragon" is supposed to be some horrible spelling of "dragon". In which case United needs not only glasses but a dictionary. :(

We'll Start With An Oldie But Goodie. (Baddie?)

FUNCTIONAL KATANA: UR DOIN IT RONG. o.O

The Most Obvious Question.

It goes a little like this....

I've been an enthusiast of swords and Martial Arts weapons for longer than I care to think about (lest I feel REALLY old :) ).  I've also been a professional retailer in that area for nearly a decade.  Having seen everything from the most egregiously cheesy ornamental wall-hangers, to quality replicas, to actual functional models of sublime beauty and workmanship, I feel somewhat qualified to comment on the hobby's pitfalls, as well as its rewards--which are many.

Due to the growth of the hobby in the past ten years or so, a lot of manufacturers have jumped into this particular fray to snag the cash of the enthusiastic collector. Sad to say, not all of them are willing to return quality on the dollar. This can manifest in numerous ways, from the hideous to the funny, to the outright dangerous (if you are a practicing martial artist, for instance).  This blog is inspired by those glitches in the system. :)

It would be inappropriate to fail to mention that the title of this blog was inspired by Jen Yates' wonderfully hilarious "Cake Wrecks". I only hope that I can come anywhere near to as entertaining. :D Stay tuned for the horror and hilarity!
